Jessica has been writing poetry since she was about seven, but became more serious about it during her first semester of college. Jessica is graduating with a BA in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from Salem State University in December 2014. She is currently teaching poetry to the wonderful kids at the Boys & Girls Club in Salem, and will continue to do so during the fall semester. She will also be on the poetry board for Soundings East during the fall semester. Jessica wants to pursue an MFA in poetry after taking some time off to travel after finishing her undergraduate degree. Jessica has had poetry published in the Golden Walkman Magazine, Three Line Poetry, and Spark Magazine. She received an Honorable Mention in the 2014 Claire Keyes Undergraduate Poetry Award and was the recipient of the 2014 Creativity Award in Creative Writing from Salem State University.
