Events & Communications Coordinator Northeastern Co-op
Emily O’Brien (she/her) is a second year at Northeastern University. She in is pursuit of a Bachelor of Arts in English and Journalism. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Emily has been writing her whole life. She started writing when her fifth-grade English teacher invited her to a writing group where she was able to continue and grow her passion. Later she would become a writer and editor for her high school’s yearbook The Log and newspaper The Willistonian. Now she is starting her first co-op at Mass Poetry. Emily hopes to pursue journalism and eventually write for a major newspaper or magazine. Her work focuses on telling the stories of those in her community even when those stories are difficult to talk about.
