Najya Williams

Najya Williams is an Afro-Guyanese poet, filmmaker, DC native and 2020 Harvard College graduate. She has written about personal identity, intersectionality, coming of age, health and wellness, and politics in Black Youth Project, Spoken Black Girl Mag, We are the 94 Percent, ForHarriet, Black Girl in Om, and several other publications. Najya’s poetry chapbook, Cotton, is available for purchase, and her spoken word album, mad black woman, can be accessed online.
