Kyla-Yen (they/them) is a 21-year-old queer and trans Vietnamese diaspora writer hailing from the Bay Area, California. They now reside in the Greater Boston Area, where they are currently in their final year of undergrad at Brandeis University. Although they write across several genres, being for instance a sci-fi screenwriter and aspiring horror novelist, they are first and foremost a poet. Their first poem publication is forthcoming May of 2023 in GASHER Journal’s special print issue, CHERRY MOON: Emerging Voices from the Asian Diaspora.
