Dr. Kimberly Frazier-Booth

Philadelphia native Kimberly J. Frazier-Booth moved to Boston in 1989 to work at WBZ-TV, where she met her husband. They have one daughter. In 1999, Frazier-Booth answered a call to teach, earning a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Northeastern University. She joined the faculty of the Edward M. Kennedy Academy for Health Careers in 2003. Frazier-Booth holds a PhD from UMass Boston. Her research revealed that students are looking for teachers who care about them personally as much as they care about “educating” them, and drives her classroom work. Beyond school, Frazier-Booth studies the ukulele—finding poetry in music!
