Poetry Shines at the Boston Book Festival
Most of the Boston Book Festival occurs Saturday, October 16, but one poetry event starts early. On Thursday, October 14 at Café 939, the Festival features a slam contest that has some of the pizzazz of a gladiatorial face off. The festival also presents two poetry readings and three workshops. Each of the readings features three prominent poets.
