We are proud to announce that the two residents for our inaugural year of the HAPF (Harvard-Allston Partnership Fund) sponsored MassPOP Allston-Brighton Poet Residency Program have been selected. Patrick Donnelly will be the fall resident in the Gardner Pilot Academy’s 5th grade class and Jason Roush will be the spring resident for the 4th grade.
Patrick Donnelly is the author of The Charge (Ausable Press, 2003, since 2009 part of Copper Canyon Press) and Nocturnes of the Brothel of Ruin, forthcoming from Four Way Books. He is a 2008 recipient of an Artist Fellowship from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and is the Associate Editor of Poetry International.
Jason Roush is the author of three books of poems: After Hours (2005), Breezeway (2007), and Crosstown (2009). He teaches writing, literature, and cultural studies at Emerson College.
These two residents will be giving a reading of their poetry on Monday October 26th at the Honan Allston Public Library (300 North Harvard Street, Allston) at 6:30PM. Please come and join us in celebrating the beginning of our first year!
