Take the Train, Skimbleshanks
For Saturday’s programs in Lowell we are encouraging people to take public transportation if you can. Trains leave regularly from North Station and go through Medford and Woburn ( the stop there is right off of Rt. 93 just past the intersection with 128) You can get the Saturday schedule of the Commuter rail to Lowell by clicking here: http://www.mbta.com/schedules_and_maps/rail/lines/?route=LOWELL&direction=O&timing=S&RedisplayTime=Redisplay+Time
If enough people are taking the train we will attempt to have guides meet you at the Lowell station – but only if there will be significant numbers of people. So if you are taking the train feel free to drop us a quick email at info@masspoetry.org to let us know. The train is fast (43 min from North Station to Lowell) and easy. No parking. Environmentally friendly. And you can read poetry books all the way up and back!
