We have some very exciting opportunities for high school students. The Friday high school poetry program has openings for another school and a few more students. The program — beginning at 9:30 — will be chock full of workshops led by famous poets, poetry games and exercises, and a coffee house venue where students can read their poems. The day will end with an original poetry contest between students chosen to represent each high school. Four winners will have an opportunity to read on Saturday with famous poets, such as Robert Pinsky, former US poet laureate. All contest participants will have their poems published in an anthology and their readings posted to YouTube. If you are a high school student who is interested, please email Jackie [at] masspoetry.org
