Presented by Mr. Samkhann Khoeun
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11
2:30 – 3:30 PM
Pollard Memorial Library
Join Mr. Samkhann Khoeun for a multimedia presentation and reading of Cambodian refugee poetry from the bilingual book whose original poems were handwritten in Khmer by the late Venerable Aggadiop Ly Van, a Cambodian Buddhist Monk who survived Cambodia’s holocaust and was one of the first few Cambodian refugees to arrive in Lowell in the early 1980s. Various readings will recount the harsh life experiences and extraordinary personal stories of the Khmer survivors of the Khmer Rouge Regime in Cambodia from April 17, 1975 to January 1979.
